Importify’s AI tools (like product title rewriting, smart translation, and content optimization) require an OpenAI API key. Follow these steps to activate your AI features by connecting your OpenAI account.
Quick Steps
Sign Up or Log In to OpenAI
Create an account or log in using Google or email.
Create a New API Key
Click “+ Create new secret key”
Name it something like
Importify AI
Copy the key and save it (you won’t see it again!)
Add a Payment Method
Go to https://platform.openai.com/account/billing/payment-methods
Click “+ Add payment method” and enter your credit/debit card info
Set Monthly Usage Limits (Optional but Recommended)
Navigate to https://platform.openai.com/account/billing/limits
Under "Hard Limit", enter the maximum you’re willing to spend monthly
Under "Soft Limit", set an amount at which you’ll receive a warning email
Paste Your API Key into Importify
You'll be prompted to enter your API key when you try to use the AI features.
Paste your OpenAI API key into the field provided
Click Save
💡 Tips
You’re only billed for actual usage by OpenAI—not a flat fee.
You can update or delete your key anytime from your OpenAI dashboard. (if you update your key in openai, do not forget to update it in the importify app)
