Customize the Importify default settings

Change your pricing rules and your default general settings

In this guide, we will learn how to customize the importify default settings.

Pricing Rules

In order to make a profit with your dropshipping business, you need to markup the supplier's product price.

You can set the pricing rules using the importify extension

Or you can do it directly from the Importify dashboard settings page.

There are three different types of markup calculation and you can use any of them:

  1. Multiplier Price Markup multiplies the original product price by percentage.  For example, a product that costs $15 with a multiplier of 200% would cost $30.

2. Fixed Price Markup markup is commonly calculated as the difference between the wholesale price and retail price. For example, if a product costs $100, the selling price with a 25% markup would be $125.

  1. Price Markup by Amount is calculated by adding the amount you wish to the Retails price. For example, if a product costs $100, the selling price with a $20 markup by amount would be $120.

You can switch between all the 3 types by clicking the dropdown (screenshot below)

Price cents value allows you to set specific cents value for your product listed on your Shopify store. For example, if the calculated price after the markup is $75.64 and you want it to be listed on your Shopify store as $75.99 all you have to do is set the price cents value to 99.
